Campbelltown City Open Women Division 1 Indoor
team DEFEATED, the previous state champions, Illawarra 1 yesterday, 5 -
2 down in Unanderra.

Rebecca Sanders, Danielle Hemingway (Co-Capt), Emily Wong
and Elisa Bow.
Coached by Simon Cairnduff and Managed by Jenny
Hemingway.
NO PLAYER let this team down. They all played
OUTSTANDING Indoor hockey and should be VERY PROUD OF THEMSELVES.
Campbelltown 1 were in top form when they hit the semi
finals in the number 1 position after the last round of games.

Game 3 - v Illawarra 1 -- Lost 0 - 1
Game 4 - v Sydney 1 -- WON 4 - 1

Semi Final (1 v 4)- v South Coast 1 -- Draw 1 - 1 (higher
team went through)(that was Campbelltown)
Final - v Illawarra 1 -- WON 5 - 2
(Ask Simon to confirm, but I predicted a win of 4 - 2).
Our team went one better.
In the Captains' speech, Danielle Hemingway, gave
Illawarra a little nudge about winning this year. Everyone took it in
good stead with a laugh as they're all friends.
The Campbelltown Players Player Award for Division 1 went
to Michelle Miller.
Our team went through with a good attitude and abilities
that got many players in HNSW Indoor teams that will complete in the
Australian Open Women and Under 21 Indoor Championships, in Adelaide,
from 6 to 12 December 2009.

You couldn't get the smile off their faces for being the
HNSW Indoor State Champions,
first time ever for Campbelltown in Division 1.
Congratulations All Players.
Another Moorebank player from our Premier League and
playing for Western Districts, also made the HNSW Under 21 Indoor team.
Congratulations to Tegan Risk.
An Under 20 HNSW Indoor Development Squad will also be
announced after the Under 17 INDOOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Campbelltown Division 2 team won the HNSW Play The
Whistle Award for Division 2.

Grand Final Results 2009
Premier League:
Premiers - RABY VIPERS
Runners Up - St Andrews
After an epic game and an inspirational performance by both teams there
was still no score in normal time, golden goal and drop offs. Our
Premier League grand final then progressed to penalty strokes in which
Raby took out the 2009 Premiership 4-2.
B Grade:

Campbelltown Vets to represent NSW!
Not to be outdone by the youngsters in our
association, three of our Vet's representatives have recently done us
proud!
Our president Tracy Bradford and premier league player Nikki Campbell
were selected in the NSW 35s to compete at the 2009 Australian Women's
Hockey Championships in Hobart in October!
Louise Slattery was also named as a shadow for the NSW 50s!
These are amazing accomplishments and we congratulate them on their hard
work and success and wish them luck at the championships! Well done
ladies!!
Campbelltown Girls Selected In NSW Squads
Congratulations to Jillian Morrison from our State League team who was selected in the 2010 NSW ARROWS SQUAD after an excellent performance on the weekend. The full squad can be viewed here.
Congratulations also to Amanda Hese who was also part of our State League team and to Emily Jones our opens team goal keeper. Both girls played excellent at the championships and were therefore selected in the 2010 NSW U/21 SQUAD. The full squad can be viewed here.
Caroline Margetts from our Opens team was also selected as a shadow for the NSW Country Team. Congratulations!!
Congratulations to Hayley Seymour who was recently awarded her NSW State C Badge while umpiring at the U/15s state championships in Parkes!
